Bondable.me has is no longer accepting new tenants

From day one, our mission with Bondable was to eliminate the stress of rental bonds and create a win–win for tenants, property managers, and agents. We achieved this and we’re proud of what it has achieved.

As of 22 August 2025, Bondable will no longer be offered directly to tenants.

This decision reflects the next stage in our journey, as we prepare to launch a new product in the coming months: Rent Shield. Built on everything we’ve learnt with Bondable, but available Australia wide, Rent Shield will take tenant protection and landlord confidence even further.

What we’ve achieved with Bondable: 

  • We helped hundreds of tenants secure a home without the burden of a large upfront bond.
  • We enabled property managers and agents to process claims quickly, fairly, and efficiently.
  • We showed that there’s a better, smarter way to support both sides of the rental market.

Important reassurance for current users

If you’re already covered by Bondable - whether as a tenant, landlord, or agent - there’s no need to worry.

All existing Bondable subscriptions remain active and valid.

  • Coverage will continue until the tenant moves out, or the service is cancelled under our terms and conditions.
  • Claims will continue to be managed and paid exactly as they have been.

Bondable has laid the foundation for what comes next. While we’re no longer offering new subscriptions, its legacy continues through the tenants, agents, and property managers who benefited from a simpler, more transparent system.

We’re proud of the role Bondable has played in reshaping the rental market, and we sincerely thank you for being part of the journey. We can’t wait to share more about Rent Shield soon.

What does it mean that Bondable is no longer accepting new tenants?

Bondable is no longer open for new tenants applying for the service.

I’m a tenant already covered by Bondable — am I still protected?

Yes. Your bond guarantee remains valid for the full term of your tenancy.

I’m a property manager/agent — can I still make a claim?

Yes. Claims management remains operational, and the process is unchanged.

Do I need to do anything as an existing tenant or agent?

No. Coverage and claims processes continue as before.
